McGhee is a technology leader, educator, and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience transforming organizations through innovation, training, and practical, results-driven technology solutions. An Alabama native, she graduated from Troy University with dual degrees in Computer Science and Accounting and began her career as a software engineer supporting Fortune 500 companies across the United States.
Wendy’s journey has always been shaped by purpose rather than pursuit. Raised in a supportive and loving family, she developed a deep sense of responsibility to honor the opportunities she was given by building something meaningful and impactful for others. That commitment to empowering people became the foundation of WMA’s core belief: technology plus people equals growth.
In 1999, she founded Wendy McGhee & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in technology transformation, talent development, and organizational upskilling. Under her leadership, WMA has grown into a trusted partner across enterprise, government, higher education, and nonprofit sectors. Beyond consulting, Wendy is also a speaker, advocate, and educator focused on access, industry diversity, and financial empowerment, with programs supporting communities in both the United States and South Africa.
